‘UPLOAD is a course facilitated by young people, a mandatory 1 1/2 day training course for Surrey's mental health professionals. The course gives professionals the opportunity to experience the service user journey through a series of exercises where professionals experience what it is really like to be 'on the other side'. It aims to change perspectives, practice and culture, promoting a positive awareness of the emotional journey experienced by young people who access mental health services.’
By the end of the first day we aim to have got every participant to have made an action card, with a pledge to take something they have learn from the day back to work with them, and implement it to improve user experience and involvement.
